American Photographer Samuel Wooten [San Francisco] about JP's project »A silent movie«:
»A dead urban corner turned alive by a minutely selected camera release. A great study on art created by vision, time and phototechnology. The images here made me look a few times....
I didn't know what I was looking for until I watched them in a quick sequence. It then appeared to me that life was instilled in that mute tunnel through the motion created by the camera speed and the direction of the walkers. A very good piece of 'observational photography'.«
American Photographer Herbert Ascherman Jr.
[Cleveland/Ohio]:
»Looking at the work of JPR is like looking at a fast forward of contemporary society. The clash of color, hyper-activity of his subjects, and range of opportunities that present themselves to his sophisticated camera handling allow JPR a remarkable insight, and the ability to capture for all of us, what makes today’s society GO!«

camera paintin'
Swiss radio journalist & author Karin Frei [Zurich] about JP's project »camera paintin'«:
»General camera-tossing may be thrilling because of its always surprising outcome, yet, the limits lie in the coincidence of the shot. Raabes technique exceeds that limit and offers a lot more. Combining controlled skill and creativity with the caption of the perfect light and athmosphere lets him create magic moments. The quality of the pictures speaks for itself. You look at them and you can sense the art and expressional power within. You realize, you don't want to stop looking at them, but sink into these compositions of colours and lights. And then it's very simple: You want more of this...«
