The art of »camera paintin'«
Using digital & analogue cameras to paint instead of oil paints, color palette and paintbrushes:
»camera paintin'«.
I toss the cameras. I dance with the cameras. I fling them like in a carousel. Most of my photos are mixtures of different techniques....
However, I don't let the camera do the photos by itself as an "uncontrolled coincidence"...
I like to have as much control as possible which offers me the opportunity to experiment and improvise on a firm foundation.
I search for places which have a special, an unusual or even worrying light situation. There I wait till natural light almost has disappeared. I have a precise idea how the result possibly should look like. So I work with the camera till the result satisfies me. I.e., from 100 taken pictures only one is to be published.
I have developed »camera paintin'« art since 1975.
